My Concept ~ For this show I wanted to demonstrate the elevated warm platform of the “church” above the locked exits of a very worn and almost sterile basement laundry. The building is old and while the area where laundry is done is clean, there is still no comfort in the exposed drains and pipes that fuel their endless work. The second time I approached this model was to center the playing space.
